The jeans trousers are originally a work garment cut into a denim canvas and reinforced by lined seams. It originated at the end of the 19th century and will gradually be altered due to the evolution of uses and fashion until becoming a central element of our wardrobe on all continents.
At DCjeans,
the challenge was to integrate the specificities of the Western jeans trousers with the traditional Oriental harem pants and this was no small deal! Known for being a simple garment of very wide style without too much apparent shape, the harem pants usually wear over the ankles. It consists of two side pockets and a long keel at the crotch level mounted on an elastic belt with a drawstring. Combining all these parameters, we had the formidable “chemical formula” to develop our “jeans harem pants”.
Although few people believedin it, it was in 2011 that our first sketches, sponsorships and samples were born. From a handmade manufacturing, we had succeeded in shaping jeans trousers of “sarouel type” in a woven cotton fabric Serge. A wide jeans harem pants above the ankles composed of 5 pockets and washed out for a worn effect.
Our jeans harem pants brings together all the characteristics of a real jeans as we like it! Dcjeans is the forerunner of the “harem jeans” movement and some time after its release it becomes the classic of the brand thanks to its authentic and timeless appearance. Its relaxed look and dressed faith is suitable for all styles.
During our progress, we collaborate with factories specializing in the manufacture of jeans trousers. In 2013, dcjeans invented a new section of harem pants called “evolution” which has the particularity of having a “round” keel at the level of the leg but also a semi elastic belt with a fly. The concern is to purify the Oriental harem pants in its volume while keeping the details of the Western trousers. This in order to be elegant while staying in the standards!
Often represented by the classic color “blue”, we ventured as time goes by, in various shades and gradients like light blue, black… but still the dirty effect. The dirty harem pants has an aging and yellowed effect that makes it even more personal making you want to own it when you try it!
En 2017, exit of the first straight cut trousers called “usual fit” close to the basic but wider trousers with a lower fork. A good compromise between the saroual and the normal trousers that adapts easily to your everyday life while being comfortable. But DCjeans does not stop there and chains with the invention of the saroual short in the same year. A baggy -style shorts wider than a cropped trousers to be cooler in the Sun.
